School assignment: If many people say something is true, is it really true?

Well, in my opinion, just because many people believe something is true, it does not mean that it is true. For example, if people say this is the best restaurant in the world after trying many different restaurants, I will not believe it is the best. I will only think that it is quite a good restaurant. You may never know, there may be a small restaurant in a small town that is better! It also depends on the person trying the food. Different people have different preferences just like how some people like Manchester United football club while others support Liverpool football club, which in my opinion, is way better than Manchester United.
Moving away from football, now if you really want to find the best restaurant on earth, what you should do is gather everyone in the world and patronise every single restaurant on this earth and not one can be left out. After that, you should then conduct a survey to find out which restaurant is the best and tally the results. Total time taken to find best restaurant in the world: To long to count. As you can see, finding the best restaurant in the world, or any best thing in the world would take to long.
Also, if many people say something, like this certain scientist has successfully cloned a mammoth, we should not just believe it immediately too. We should first find out if there is such an event or is it just a rumour, then see if he or she has any evidence or data to prove it and lastly, find out if the data is real or fake and hence see if this whole incident is a fraud or not.
Hence, I conclude that just because many people believe something is true, it does not necessarily mean it is true.
